Had really nice stay on vacation, the staff were outstandingly accommodating, location was magnificent right in the center of the city. Location: the hotel was just off the centre of town, and the historical old town. It was right next to Ristorantino il Tinello, where you can have lunch👌

The rooms at this budget hotel were a nice size and well laid out with a bathroom. The accommodation had a central location right near the historical city centre.

The owners were very friendly and accommodating, even allowing us to keep our bike in the room. Hotel was quiet and our room just lovely, overlooking a quiet courtyard away from the traffic noise. Very central also.

Location is fantastic. As long as you speak Italian the staff are very helpful.
The noise from the road is quite intrusive. Breakfasts need more choice.

Once we located the hotel it was central. It was a little difficult initially to locate as it wasn't directly off Piazza Maggiore as I expected.
Long walk from the station. Need a bus or taxi. The wireless internet didn't work. The computer connects to the router but the internet must not have been connected. Staff of little help with this saying there must be too many other people in the hotel on the internet so we couldn't get a connection. I tried agaib at 6am with the same problem. Never experienced this at any other hotel but staff wouldn't admit there is a problem their end. We were told to use an internet cafe at 11pm at night. This cost us a booking charge because we needed to cancel accomodation urgently and couldn'T. Also breakfast served at 8.30am and not before was not convenient. Very hard beds.

I recommend this place, had a really good stay on vacation, asked for a twin room with a high ceiling, a bathroom, air-con and they kindly provided it.

We have been staying at the Garisenda for the last nine years. It is a consistently convenient, extremely well-run, and friendly small hotel. The ceiling fans are wonderful in the summer months. The hotel is in a safe location in the beautiful city center.

Very central only 100 yds from the two Towers and right beside all the historic sights. 20 minute walk to the train/bus station.Very clean, friendly and right in the centre of the historic city.Breakfast was adequate and the room very pleasant. Access by ansaphone and lift meant your room was very secure. Would recommend to anyone looking for a City break.
Only crib was street noise. However the double glazing was first class and given we are on one of the main thoroughfares noise level was acceptable.

The location is perfect, very central! The staff was nice and helpful even if I was unable to speak Italian. The style of the corridor and common areas, with old furniture chosen with taste, create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. My room, despite having a shared bathroom, was really clean.
Nothing, it is perfect.
